World Of Beard-Sean Conway

Welcome back to another World Of Beard where you the reader rate the beard of a candidate I choose.Last week’s candidate Colin Firth (Filth) got many grows so he’s in the top ten for World Of Beard and seems a firm favourite whether he has a beard or not. This week’s candidate is a topical one, someone who caught my eye whilst watching the local news a few evenings a go.His name is Sean Conway a writer, photographer and extreme adventurer, Sean is raising money for War Child by swimming along the British coast line from Land’s End to John O’Groats. The 32 year old grew up in Africa but now lives in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

War Child is a specialist agency. We work in countries devastated by armed conflict. We need to be organised and imaginative enough to operate amongst multiple risks. We need to have the persistence and skill to help children suffering the worst effects of violence including child soldiers, victims of rape and abduction, disabled children and street children. We are often very close to the fighting, but we need to be committed to standing by children and families long enough to provide them the best possible assistance in overcoming their experiences.

So what do you think? Is Sean’s beard worthy of a ‘grow‘ or a ‘mow‘? Comment with either and watch out for next week’s World Of Beard to find out.

You can find out more about Sean and his fund raising on website, Facebook pageand follow him on Twitter

  1. He’s rather nice! Can I say ‘keep’ instead of ‘grow’ or ‘mow’ as in maintain it at the stubble stage? I like a bit of stubble x

    • Have you seen his Facebook cover photo? The fit body, red hair and beard aside I hope he raises a lot of money money for War Child.
