Messing About By The River

On Sunday I packed a picnic and took the kids down to the river to build little rafts.Well that was the plan but things got cut short after Kip allergies kicked when we were sat eating our lunch.So we had to move away from the meadow where we were sat.We moved to a little ‘beach’ area which was where we passed during our Bat Watch last week.We set about finding materials for our rafts and the kids left me to make them whilst they paddled in the river.

After I made the rafts (it was meant to be a joint effort) Cat started to sing a little song about her muddy feet.Mouse joins a little later singing about dog wee and poo (only the gods know why).As per usual Kip stole the show with his comic performance.You can tell he goes to a theatre school can’t you?

    Cool video and what a lovely country afternoon. My children can while away an afternoon in our river in much the same way. Great to see them enjoy nature in this way.
