Miniland Build a Robot Bell Horn Review For DKL Toys
A few weeks ago Kip was sent a Miniland Build a Robot Bell Horn from the science kit range at DKL toys. The science kit arrived in a fabulous tin so you can store all the bits and instructions safely which is ideal when you have a meddling 4 year old sister.
Aimed at 8 – 14 year olds, I left it to him to have a go at building the robot bell horn himself. He careful read the instructions and set about putting it together with a few interruptions from his sisters. He got stuck when he got to adding the horn and battery compartment. But together we went through the steps and we quickly finished putting it together.I put in the batteries and found the robot bell horn wouldn’t work.We put the robot aside to come back to on another day but with end of term school productions, parents evenings etc and no netbook we didn’t come back to the robot until last week.It suddenly dawned on me I needed to charge the batteries (doh!).So here is a little video I took when we were down the park yesterday. The robot had been running for quite a while around the park before I film the robot bell horn.
Kip had fun building the Miniland robot bell horn (with a little help) and he felt a great sense of achievement completing it.He said the instructions were very clear but some of the images didn’t make sense to him until I pointed out what he was looking at.But that didn’t spoil his enjoyment in making it and he has been able to rebuild it after his 4 year old pulled it apart.
Thanks to DKL toys for sending the Miniland Robot Bell Horn in an exchange for a review.
You can purchase one from Play Merrily Toys for £12.95.
