Sponsor A Child For World Vision #shareniger
I first came across World Vision a few weeks ago when reading Chris of Thinly Spread posts.Since then Sian To of Mummy Tips and Geek Is The New Chic and the creator of Cybher visited Niger with World Vision to highlight the desperate food crisis due to drought.
And by drought I mean rivers run so dry women have to dig for drinking water for their families, which is full of sand.
I read all her posts and it is totally heartbreaking that people have to live HAVE to like this.
Since reading all about Sian’s trip to raise awareness about World Vision’s #shareniger campaign Merry of Patch of Puddles has set up a collaborative sponsorship between bloggers to help sponsor 5 children.
I have taken in a few charity campaigns over the last 3 years through blogging.Whether it’s been a small post to highlight the plight of others, hounding celebrities on Twitter, having a pledge badge in my blog side bar, signing petitions so world leaders pledge money for medicines or getting your kids to draw what they want to be when they grow up.
£22.80 a month is needed to sponsor one child,but it is a lot due the financial difficulties we are all facing here, so Sian and Merry have come up with a plan to make a difference as part of a group.
So we can sponsor a child together.
5 children was the target but we are on our way to sponsoring 10, yes 10 children.

If you would like to contribute a small amount, say £6 on a monthly basis, please visit Merry’s blog so she can arrange for recurring payments to be organised from your PayPal account and form people into groups who can sponsor a child together and follow their progress.
