I’m A Happy Hooker
It’s been a while since I’ve written about the crafts that I’ve been dabbling in lately and there’s a couple but the main one (which I’ve had to resort to getting some help from my dad’s girlfriend) is crochet.
Sorry if you thought from the title of this blog post that I had become a lady of the night but no, I have been ‘hooking’ for about 2 months now and with lots of support from on-line blogs and magazines I am hooked.
This was my first attempt at a granny square.I tried for over week, unravelling time and time again. After an afternoon of sittingwith my dad’s girlfriend, she showed me where I was going wrong. So two weeks later in between all the other things I do I have produced these to make a blanket (another 90 to go).I am trying to make the flowers that are featured in Mollie Makes ( the most gorgeous handmade craft magazine) and I have sort of got it, I just need some practise.
Being a novice hooker I have been on the look out for anyone who has done a crochet tutorial on their blog and here are some links.
Maggy of Red Ted Art has this fab Surprise Rosette Flower on her fab craft blog.
Cara of Freckles Family on her beautiful blog has a few knitting patterns and this crochet book mark ideal for beginners.
Abi of Angel Eden has this resourceful Crochet Tin/Jar Cover Tutorial.
But as I read so many blogs and follow over a 1,000 people on Twitter I’ve put a linky so you can share your tutorial. It’ll be here for a month before I close it.
