Snow Day(s)
This was the view from our kitchen window when we woke up on Wednesday morning. And then I looked out of the other window and we saw more of the same.
The kids were given a snow day, two days after going back to school after a 2 week break for Christmas.I was not happy. We never had ‘snow days’.We went to school in the snow and stayed there.
So we decided we had to to go to the shop.Only to find some shelves were bare.It had only been a few hours since the snow fell and people were panic buying already.Milk, bread, meat, fruit and veg and tinned foods were thin on the ground.
But when we left a lorry had arrived with a new delivery.
Now we had what we needed from the shop, it was time to play.
We also enjoyed how nature looked beautiful in white.
Then we returned home to find the kids in flats on the ground floor had been busy too.The sow is still here 3 days later and it’s snowing again but it’s also a sunny day which doesn’t mean anything as more snow is on it’s way
