Monday Make-Bird Feeder

You will need:
A large bowl
A large wooden spoon
Empty yoghurt pots
Lard
Wild bird seed
Ribbon or string
Scissors

1.First take the lard and put in the bowl with equal amounts of bird seed.

2.Mix them together either with a spoon or hands.DD2 didn’t like the lard so I mixed it.

3.Take yoghurt pots, string/ribbon and scissors.

4.Using the scissors carefully pierce a hole in bottom.

5.Thread through the ribbon/thread.If you hav mad the hole too big you can used sticky tac or plasticine to keep the string/ribbon in place.

6.Using a spoon push as much of the bird seed mix into the yoghurt pot.

7.Next you need to hang them up into a tree.DH hung them up in the tree outside our living room window so we could see the birds feed.

Aaaah lovely! My son also enjoyed “getting stuck in”, though he kept asking whether we were going to put it in the oven now…. mmmh. Ours went out today, hope the birds like them!!!
